Second wave of acts announced for Handmade Festival

Handmade Festival has today announced its second wave of bands for its 2017 line-up. Returning to Leicester’s 02 Academy on 29 and 30 April 2017 it features a range of new and upcoming bands as well as a curated range of comedy, art, film and performance.

Having already announced Twin Atlantic and Frightened Rabbit as headliners, the second wave of bands include Cabbage, Superfood, Demob Happy, God Damn, Kagoule, Gallops amongst many more. They add to an already fruitful line up including British Sea Power, Pulled Apart By Horses, Honeyblood, JAWS, Muncie Girls, Tigercub and Puppy and Idles.

Perhaps the most prominent addition is Cabbage, the Manchester based band whom we tip for great success in 2017. Additionally, Superfood and Kagoule are a fine inclusion of relatively local talent, with the former returning after an incredibly successful debut album release.

The Leicester based festival is a multi-venue music and arts festival in the heart of the city, cleverly reclaiming unused spaces and well known venues, all of which add to its DIY ethics.

Tickets start at £40 for adults and for the first time the festival is able to offer tickets at £30 for students and £20 for under 16s.

Click Music is more than a music site. It is an organisation, a collective, a homepage for a scene which is more powerful, more corrosive and more relevant than ever.
