Kagoule reveal latest single: ‘Egg Hunt’

Nottingham’s music scene is thriving and Kagoule are one of it’s leading exports! Ahead of the release of a second LP, they ramp up the metaphorical volume with the impressive sounding ‘Egg Hunt.’

With a new record in the pipeline, it is clear that Kagoule have embarked on a journey of musical growth since their debut outing, Urth. Now spinning a number of influences into a new body of work, ‘Egg Hunt’ is a prime example of their current musical placing. With obvious guitar riffs and echoey bass-lines, it is clear that their sound just as upbeat as ever. 

Simultaneously revealing the single’s video, Kagoule are quite clearly ramping things up as they prepare for the release of October’s second album, Strange Entertainment. Colourful, upbeat and modern, the video makes use of dance, movement and more to emphasise the songs meaning. Produced by Joe Bird, expect clown make up and and cameos to all feature heavily. 



Speaking on the track, front man Cai Burns said: “We’ve been super excited about this song since we first wrote it. ‘Egg Hunt’ to me embodies what Kagoule is right now and is the start of a path to something new.”

Formed of Cai Burns, Lucy Hatter and Lawrence English, Kagoule recently announced a headline UK wide tour this Autumn in support of their LP release. Having already supported Drenge, appeared at numerous summer festivals such as Robert Smith’ (The Cure) Meltdown extravaganza, the Nottingham band head to city’s such as Liverpool, Manchester, London and more… tickets on sale now!

Kagoule have the support of institutions such as BBC Radio 1 and Radio X for good reason. ‘Egg Hunt’ only gets us even more excited as the release of Strange Entertainment comes closer.
