Courteeners announce massive UK tour

Courteeners have had a whirlwind of a 2018 celebrating the 10th anniversary of gold selling debut album St. Jude. Now, they announce a massive tour of their own kicking off this November.

Earlier this year the Manchester legends celebrated a decade of musical releases with two massive celebratory shows. They sold out London’s Royal Albert Hall as part of Teenage Cancer Trust’s annual week of fundraising alongside a historic return to Manchester Arena in April.

“With a new album in the pipeline, things can only get bigger and better for the Liam Fray and co!”

All this comes on the back of the release of Mapping The Rendezvous, their sixth studio album. Darker and brazen with more effects, it was perhaps their finest set of works so far. Tracks such as ‘The 17th’ and ‘Lucifers Dream’ are made for late night discos and reflective times of nostalgia. No doubt, it gained them a tonne of mainstream exposure and even took them to arenas across the country.

This tour they are joined by Scottish sensation Gerry Cinnamon, arguably Scotland’s greatest musical export. Cinnamon is known for infectious acoustic tracks and festival singalongs, his set at TRNSMT was probably the best received of the whole weekend. Zuzu also join in support.

This August saw Courteeners head to Reading & Leeds festival’s in fine fashion. Their evening set was perhaps their largest at the festival to date and for good reason, festival anthems dominated one of their greatest set-lists to date. With a new album in the pipeline, things can only get bigger and better for the Liam Fray and co!
