Wolf Alice announce final 2018 shows

It has been a couple of years to remember for Wolf Alice, Visions Of A Life tore through the dangers a second album may offer and instead was something quite mesmerising. Nominated for a Mercury Award, it is quite right that the band will celebrate with two massive Christmas shows in London and Manchester.

Taking place at Manchester’s O2 Victoria Warehouse and O2 Academy Brixton, the shows will round of a long, worldwide campaign in celebratory fashion. We’re sure that the London show will be the ultimate celebration of all things Wolf Alice. Their headline sets only seem to get better with gigs at Alexandra Palace and Nottingham’s Rock City only proving this. With the addition of ever popularising new songs from an album given 5* reviews from the likes of NME and DIY, it is clear that the band are in the form of their lives.

Drowned in Sound called it a genuine masterpiece and still Visions Of A Life only seems to get better. In the live setting tracks such as ‘Space & Time’ and ‘Beautifully Unconventional’ come into a realm of their own. The band seemingly mish-mash between loud and quiet with ease, toying with all kinds of sounds.

Their recent Reading & Leeds outings were memorable, they topped the Radio 1 Stage in fine style. Having previously played the stage in 2015, it felt like a coming of age for the London formed band. Over the past two years the band have toured across the world. Highlights include stadium supporting slots for Foo Fighters, Liam Gallagher and Queens of the Stone Age, and festival performances including NYC Governors Ball, Latitude, Sziget, Lollapalooza, and Summer Sonic in Tokyo.

“The shows will round of a long, worldwide campaign in celebratory fashion.”

Speaking on the new shows, lead singer Ellie Rowsell said: “With an itch to write new stuff, we will be rounding off the campaign with a big hurrah and party at Manchester’s O2 Victoria Warehouse and London’s Brixton Academy”.

Tickets on sale Friday 7th September at 9am.
