Beat The Streets Festival Returns in 2019

Nottingham’s Beat The Streets Festival is somewhat revolutionary and very much important. It’s debut in 2018 raised crucial funding for homeless charity Framework, whilst also celebrated the local music scene. It returns on Sunday 27 January 2019.

Evil Scarecrow, Keto, Don’t Forget Rupert, The Fine Art Society and The Mocking Jays are just some of the names confirmed for the festival’s second edition. Taking place at the end of January, the festival spans 10 + stages across Nottingham city centre. Like last year, all proceeds from ticket sales, merchandise and bar sales in DHP venues go straight to Framework where they will contribute towards solving homelessness in the city.

The festival centres upon far more than music, Stuart Pearce will take to the stage to speak in conversation with RamAlbumClub. In Nottingham, Pearce is known best for his 12 year stint at Nottingham Forest. He is a national icon when it comes to football. In addition to this, Pearce is a well known, long term punk fan. His conversation with Martin Fitzgerald will be varied and entertaining.

Beat The Streets takes place in the likes of Rock Cit, Stealth, The Bodega and Rough Trade. It is delivered by DHP Family in collaboration with local organisations and music collectives. Tickets are priced at £6 and are on sale now.

Click Music is more than a music site. It is an organisation, a collective, a homepage for a scene which is more powerful, more corrosive and more relevant than ever.
