Peter Doherty & The Puta Madres announce UK tour

Peter Doherty & The Puta Madres have today announced a new UK tour scheduled for May 2019.

Kicking off in Bristol, the tour heads to Glasgow, Leeds and Manchester before returning south to cities such as Nottingham and London. Heading to larger venues, it follows a more intimate tour of the country completed just last week.

The Puta Madres are currently preparing for the release of their self titled, debut album. Alongside Peter, the outfit consist of Miggles (bass), Miki Beavis (violin), Katia DeVidas (Piano/keyboards), Jack Jones (lead guitar) and Rafa (drums). An eclectic mix of musicians, the Puta Madres represent all corners of the world.

The debut album, Peter Doherty & The Puta Madres, was recorded live in Étretat Normandy. The Northern French town is of poignant significance to the band, the album recorded live in a family home. It captures the essence and spirit of the Puta Madres.

This month has already seen the release of ‘Who’s Been Having You Over,’ a single which is powerful in terms of lyrics and complexity. It’s opening is dark, its chorus emphatic. What still remains after numerous decades in the public eye is raw genius, perfectly captured in this single.

Peter Doherty is back and better than ever. The Puta Madres are truly representative of his musical spirit. This tour is one not to miss!
