London Giglist: 25/11-01/12

London is a hotbed of gigs, perhaps the best music city in the world. With Winter nights drawing in, now is an exciting time for our scene. Here are just some of the events we’ve got our eye on this week!

28/11: The Lutras/The Novus

Two Click Music faves, a night of proper rock and roll and politically conscious lyricism. A proper throwback to a Camden of old, what more can you want?

Where? The Monarch (Camden)

29/11: Lewis Capaldi

The solo star of the year? We think so! Lewis Capaldi is, quite frankly, a breath of fresh air. Musically soulful, it is his infectious personality which makes his live set so intriguing. With a PR process worth dying for, it is a testament to his success that he can call venues such as Brixton Academy as an intimate affair.

Where? O2 Academy Brixton (Brixton)

29/11: Dan Lyons

Dan Lyons, a musical enigma, is gearing up for 2020 release SubSuburbia. A well thought-out, thrilling soundscape of loss, love, abuse and friendship. Beat the trend, catch him in Dalston this week. Alternatively, he’ll be on tour with The Libertines in December!

Where? The Victoria (Dalston)

29/11: Bugeye

Bugeye’s sound is dynamic, and exceptional mix of lyrics, electrics and drum. The London based band have been described as Debbie Harry, Jimi Hendrix, Kate Bush, & Keith Moon, kidnapped by vegan aliens. With that in mind, one can only assume their Paper Dress Vintage outing will be nothing short of otherworldly.

Where? Paper Dress Vintage (Hackney Central)

01/12: Shame, Sleeper, Ider, Whenyoung

Quite frankly, the most important gig of the week. Taking place in memory of booking agent Chris Meredith, it celebrates his life and importantly highlights and supports the work of support of mental health charities CALM and MIND.

Where? O2 Academy Islington (Islington)

Click Music is more than a music site. It is an organisation, a collective, a homepage for a scene which is more powerful, more corrosive and more relevant than ever.
