There is an element of beautiful, ethereal chaos in Generation’s sound, both live and in studio format. ‘Suicidal Champagne’ is further exemplary of such a statement.
The Liverpool formed outfit have garnered a leading reputation amongst the cities punk renaissance. The single picks up where the duo left off – with true musical ferocity. Fuzz and warp collide with expressive lyricism in an ode to the perilous joys of underage drinking.
Drawing inspiration from cult fashion and, of course, punk giants of the past, it is clear that Generation’s ethos is well routed. Their live outings are second to none, a mish-mash of sweat and youthful energy from crowd and band alike.
The single comes as part of brand new mini-album Suicidal Champagne capturing the unrelenting spirit of today’s youth. If it’s title track is anything to go by, this will be essential listening come its release.
