In anticipation of their eagerly awaited debut album The Four Five Three, The Jacques have released exquisite new single ‘Do Me for a Fool.’
Somewhat of a rampant change in musical style, the new single is desperately likeable. Lyrically, it is intrepid and vulnerable. Vocally, it expresses the great dynamic in Finn O’Brien’s instantly recognisable voice. Combine this with catchy guitar riff and delightful harmony, the track enters the ever evolving wing of the South London band’s musical echelons.
The band found themselves mid tour as Covid-19 swept across the country. In spite of this, they are continuing to garner great reputation at home and abroad, with Europe being a touring playground for the exciting outfit.
Speaking on the track, Finn O’Brien says: “The lyrics make it kind of a love song; a situation in which you know someone isn’t good for you in the long term because they have you wrapped around their finger, but you’re a bit hooked on it in a kind of ‘sugar rush’ way.”
The Four Five Three drops in November via Modern Sky Records.
