Walt Disco are sublime, a band with ferocious self-expression. ‘Weightless’ describes this perfectly.

The Glasgow band instantly transport oneself into a realm of self discovery. Musically fantastical, the synth/sound dynamics are illuminating and no doubt perfectly at home in a newly opened live venue.

Taking form during lockdown, the track explores gender identity and internal hope. It is both lyrically powerful and immensely introspective, reviewing the feeling of euphoria upon the realisation of ones gender identity.

Front person James Potter says: “This song comes from thinking about how I live my life, how I present myself externally and also how I view myself internally. Lyrically it outlines my fear that I have not done enough to express my gender identity and delves into feelings on appearance and my body dysmorphia.

Walt Disco tour the UK this Autumn. You WILL want to be there…

Click Music is more than a music site. It is an organisation, a collective, a homepage for a scene which is more powerful, more corrosive and more relevant than ever.
