Keep up to date with EVAN WILLIAMS
Evan Williams finds himself at the beginning of a fruitful musical journey. Debut track ‘When The Shutters Rise Again’ is sublime.
Williams cultivates a brand of upbeat, punk-inspired acoustic intricacies. The single is lyrically mystical. Great imagery and voice combining in sublime manner. Add a healthy dose of guitar and one has an especially impressive track.
‘When The Shutters Rise Again’ is released via Strap Originals, an equally as exciting new musical project via The Libertines’ Peter Doherty.
Self described as “space-age cowboy punk,” Williams first penned the song in Spring 2020. Born out of the frustration of lockdown, it is released into a world once again pondering the future. It was recorded in Margate and The Libertines’ Albion Rooms by Dan Lyons, another wordsmith taking residence on the Kent coast.
The Albion Rooms may not have founded a new culture, but it is allowing a space for musical discovery. Evan Williams is at the forefront of this newly exciting scene.
